THE LIBERAL CAUCUS.
Opposition determined to oust
the Hall Ministry.
(Peii Pbess Agency.)
Wellington, Thi» day.
At the Greyite caucus this morning 40 were present, and 45 represented. Sir George Grey was in the chair.
Grey stated, that if Macandrew formed a ministry, he (Grey) would not seek office.
It was agreed that Mr Macandrew should give notice of a no-confidence motion immediately after the House meets to-day, and resist any attempt to rig the order papers.
Macandrew will invite the other side to come to a division at once. To do that he will move the suspension of the standing orders to enable the motion to be disposed of forthwith—at any rate, his pa.rty being the stronger, he will insist on the debate being finished not later than Tuesday next.
