Wellington, Last night. The Premies for the good of the cause retires on condition that the Literal Measures are secured. It is stated that Sir G. Grey has notified to his party that he wishei to retire from the leadership, and will be quite contented if his Liberal measures are securedt
The new Ministry which is expected to fake office to-morrow will have a vote of want of confidence moved against them either on Friday or an early day next week.
Mr Macandrew will probably give the notice of motion, and will be regarded as the future head of the Government.
With the exception of a member from Canterbury, and probably Mr Pyke as Minister of Mines, the now late Government will, if successful in turning out the Hall Ministry, be all members of the new Cabinet.
