We have to acknowledge the receipt of the postal guide for the present quarter from the Postmaster. It id with pleasure we reprint any notices of oar local exhibitors at the Sydney Exhibition given bj writers in other journals; and in an article i?om *ne Herald's Sydney correspondent the iC. lowing appears about Mr O. D. Grant, baker and confectioner, of ■ Shortland : — " Some hand-made biscuits are shown by O. I>. Grant; no one would imagine but that they were made by machinery, for in appearance they look much the same S3 other biscaits, bat why hand-made biscuits are considered preferable to those made by machinery, remains a mystery. The most imposing show of biscuits, however, is that sent by Mr Griffiths, of Wellington, being surmounted on top by a crown made of some kind of confec* tionery."
