This day. Mr Whitaker in harness again.
The Hon. F. Whitaker has accepted Mr Hall's iuvitation to take the AttorneyGeneralship and a seat in the Upper House. He leaves for Wellington to-
morrow.
The Grand Jury threw out the bills against Andrew Boltro for indecent assault, and Alfred Durham for forgery, and the prisoners were discharged. John Fitzgerald was found guilty of stealing £6 from one, Pratt, of Pan mure slaughterhouse. Frederick Hudson was acquitted on a charge of stealing £11 from Parker.
