Wellington, This day, 2 p.t. A Caucus of the Government suppoteriwas held this morning and the discosion occupied two hours. Forty-two members were present. It was resolved that the menben present determine to take all steps necessary to preserve the Liberal Party. They will resist a coalition. The meeting was adjourned till louday at eleven o'clock, to enable Mi niters to consider further as to the actioi to be taken. It is reported that Sir jr. Grey will be to asked resign, and to reommend the Governor to send for Mscancreir.

It is understood the Governor jrill send , for Mr Hall on Monday. .
