This day. In the case Newman v. Machattie, the evidence for the plaintiff closed at 12.45. It was not shown that the election was characterised by any features which are not common to the majority of elections.
Defendant's solicitor will call no wit* nesses, being confident in winning his case upon legal points. Hunt is shown to have given no authority for the supply of refreshments, and to have refused to Tecognise any claim in connection therewith.
