Sailed: Ironside, ship, for Fanning Islands. The bri:jantitic Lapwing sails shortly for Kaipara and loads timber for Dunedin.

Arrived t schooner Atotehau from Rarotonga. She reports the wreck of the German barque Klienno at Rarotonjja on \\vi- 4. She hailed from Hamburg and belonged to Godeffroi and was bound from Samoa to liarotonga and Tahiti with coals.

They declined to surrender him. and assert they will not allow him to be taken. It is not known what steps the authorities will adopt. A telegraph station has been opened at Port Albt-rt, Cottnty of Rodney.
