The amended regulations for the management of the railways stores appears in the Gazette, also the resignations of Capt. Thomas Kells, of the-New Zealand Militia, and Lieut. George Greenfield of the I Battery of Artillery, have beenaccepted. The commission of Cecil. Johnston as Honorary Assistant Surgeon of G Battery of Artillery has been cancelled, and H. G. Bueton has been appointed in his stead. Edsill Grubber has been appointed Captain of the Arron Rifle Cadets. The election of members of the House of Keprescntatives for several districts ia gazetted. It is understood that his Excellency the . Governor, in reply to a cablegram from Sydney asking him to visit the Sydney Exhibition, has intimated his inability to leave New Zealand during the sitting of Parliament. The balance sheet of the Wellington Tramway Company shows a credit balance of £701 11s lid. There is, however, |a ehnrge of £1945 7s 3d for interest, which absorbs this balance.
