OPENING OF PARLIAMENT.

Wellington, This day. Parliament was opened to-day by a Commission from the Speaker of the Legislative Council. Colonel Whitmore, Richmond and Major Campbell swore in all the members present. Sir Geo. Grey proposed Mr O'llorke as Speaker, and the Hon. John Hall seconded, both testifying iv eulogistic terms to Mr O'liorke's qualification Reader Wood and Major Atkinson congratulated Mr O'Rorke in graceful terms. The House adjourned till 2 to-morrow.
