MATTERS ELECTORAL.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star). Sib,—ln the columns of your contemporary a very silly effusion appears as an advertisement, from Madman's Villa, Parawai. I cannot believe that " Madman " pays for advertising such mad effusions. I trust in the present contest between local men all personal allusions calculated to excite evil passions will be avoided, and that at the end of the contest friendship and good feeling will exist between them all; none but such as " Madman " will do otherwise.—Yours, I & c t Eltjctob. Grahamstown, Sept 23rd, 1879.
