• «" Medical PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTRACT. TTNDER the distinguished patronage of <U Hii Mnjesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon i instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878. TESTIMONIALS. Certificate. Sandhurst, the Ist of March, 1878. I have been investigating Messrs Sander and Sons' Eucalypti Extract since its discovery, and I have to aHmit that there is besides it no medicament I know of, of universal effect on the huoißti system. I observed in the first iaatance that ifc checks completely all inflammations of whatever kind —inflammation of the chest, lungs, nil throat, affections, such as bronchitis, and diptheria. It alleviates and cures all pains of rheumatic nature, neuralgia, &c, I have used it with unparalleled success in swellings, bruises, sprains, wounds of all 'hinds, and of most terious nature, as well as in all disorders of the bowels, diarrhoea, iSc. lam fully convinced that the invention of that medicament will meet with the greatest, estimation, and I gladly acknowledge its merits for the benefit of the public,—John Chuickshank, H.D., L.R.C.S.E., Health Officer. 2nd 'tf arch, 1878. I certify to the seal of the Council of the City of Sandhurst being affixed to this document, D. Maedougall, Town Clerk. Statutory Declaration. I, Franz Bnnbe, of Ironbnrk, Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, Australia, do eolemnly and sincerely declare, that guided by the desire that all who may become afflicted as I was may bo enabled to take advantage of my 'publication, I make the following declaration : On the 251b June, 1877, my bou Alfred, Bix 'years of age, was accidentally hurt with an nxe on the knee. lat once took all pains to procure medical assistance, by calling at first on Dr Austin, who was subsequently assisted by Drs Penfold and Haegillivray. However, in spite of all the combined effortß of the said gentlemen, the malady took such a bad turn that the patient was lying in uninterrupted wound-fever, and on the 17th August, 1877, the opinion was given by 2>r Mocgillivray, that an amputation of the injured limb had become imperative, in order to save life. At this juncture I called on Messrs Sunder ond Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same I had the satisfaction of seeing my eon within a fortnight out of ell danger, and to-day ho is recovered. I may just add that it was when the crisis had been reached, that the extract referred to was first applied. I abstain from expressing my feeliDgs^ towards Meesrs Sander and Sons in this declaration,

"but anyone may imagine them better than I can*describe them "in words. And I make this 6olomn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the Parliament of Vicioriu, rendering persons making a false declination punishable for wilful and corrupt perjury.—Fbanz Baabe, Declared at Sandhurst, in the Colony of Victoria, this seventeenth day of October, one'thousand eight hundred mid . seventy-seven, before me, Moritz Conn, J.P. From the Donald Times, February 2,1878. Mr H. Brown, a splitter and laborer, who resides about Donald, informs, and has shown iis, that he has suffered, from a sprained ankle for seven months. Ho procured the best medical advice in the district, and paid as high us 17s for one bottle of lotion. \t did him no good, and at last he tried Sander's Eucalypti Essence. Three bottJes cured his leg, and he is now os strong as ever. Government Botanist's Opinion Baron Yon Mueller, the Government botanist, declares our extract to be a moßt excellent one. Cases of Earache. In November, 1877, the eldest boy of Mr G. Morgan, Donald, awoke in the night crying with earache. After some time the extract was thought of, and tried. The little fellow waa cured and asleep in ten minutes. A day or two after this Mr Morgan met Mr French, of Corack station, who compkined of having a bad earache and pain in the head. He persuaded the sufferer to try the Eucalypti ! Extract, and having put two drops in his ear, and rubbed some round the ear, the pain instantly disappeared. Cases of Severe Bruises In November, 1877, Mrs Weppner who resides in Colbinubbiu (Runnymede), informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who hed been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. The child was bruised more or less all over tho body, bleeding profusely at the head, and the temples had become quite black. Mr D. Obermann, residing near the gas Works, who w&b Buffering from wounds which he could not get rid of during Bix months, and who was cured by the use of the extract witbin four weeks, introduced to Sander and Sons, in November, a man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine in Long Gully. 1 hat man applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in his attendance at* J work. ; Mr Frar.z Wehrle, Sailor's Gully, has likewise cured one of his hands, which was j severely bruised —or rather, we should say, crushed —through a fall of stone upon it. Mi" H. Fickel, of Ironbark, has also successfully applied the extract to a finger injured in the same- way. To the Editor of tlfe Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners' Advocate. 12th February, 1878.

Iluving.reeeiyecl an U{;ly wound some short liroo ago in tlio forearm from a dog bile, and which caused mo great; pnip, the arm swelling up to the shoulder, and parlially deterring me Irom following my daily avocation—thai, t'ue ilesh had been poisoned I had nofc the elighteßt doubt—l tried fomentation aud other remedies, but eiill the limb got. worse. Seeing ths Eucaljpti Essence advertised in tho columns of the JSerald and Advocate, 1 purchased a bofctlo in cyder to try its efficacy upon tho wound. Upon the first application the swelling alnsO3t entirely disappeared, the pain tras considerably relieved, and the third day after applying the oil, I felt no inconvenience whatever, and I am now firmly convinced that in cases of wouudo, swellings, ] strains, or bruises, tho Eucalypti is a safe remedy, and would adviao nil who might be suffering from any of tbe above to give the "Essence" a trial. I am, air, yours &c, J. Peedom. Plalfcaburg, February 6tb, 1878. From tits Bendigo Evening JYi?H«.
