THE LIBERAL ASSOCIATION.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sib, —I went to the Liberal Association meeting last night determined to join it, and went away as fully determined not to hare anything to do with it. Jt appeared to me that all the prominent men were playing at some desperate game, each one trying to score a poiut against all the rest. It was evidently formed to further the interests of one man, bat the smooth working out of the scheme expected by the promoters was dif* turbed by the cuteness of supporters of other candidates. As soon as I saw the state of affairs I at once comprehended if the Association talked for a week no arrangement could be eeae to en the knotty question so I kept my bob in my pocket, and quietly withdrew.—l an* Ac, A Would be-Libbbali.
