This day.
The Native Land Court held a sitting here to-day for the purpose of hearing the Otamakapa case, Judge Heale president. Dr Buller appeared as counsel for the Crown. The claim is important, as it comprises 160,030 acres, for which the Government have agreed to pay £60,000 on the completion of the title. Upwards of a hundred claimants have come across from Eangitikei, and JRenata has made great preparations at Omahu, to which place the court has now adjourned. *
