The manager's weekly report is a follows :—BO feet level. —We have suspended driving east on one of the branches of No. 3 reef, in order to sink a winze from intermediate level so as to ascertain whether the drive is oa the gold-bearing ' leader. Intermediate Level. —14 the drive from winze No. 3 reef consists ot a series, of leaders and bands of muiiiock for six ' feet thick. I expect this reef to improve ,as driven on westerly.. From the same' 'winze two drives have to be carried, one on hanging-wall and the other on foot* , wail part. These leaders are respectively eight inches thick, well charged, with mineral, and showing colors,of. gold. Tunnel Level.—Driving east on foot-wall* branch of No. 3 reef is suspended, and a winze started to communicate with level below. I may here mention it is found found necessary to sink winze to prove whether the branch leaders being driven on below are the same as those worked,. above. During the past fortnight 260 tons i of quartz, including 2cwt of picked stone, ' baro been crushed, yielding 281oss rej torted gold. Tunnel Cross-cut South.—£ am pleased to say the ground is muetr easier, and better progress is being made; 10 feet has been driven this week.—Bobt. Combb. ' *
