THE TWO BOOTHS.
{To the Editor of tho Evening Star.)
Sik, —Somo few weeks ago there was a considerable howl by correspondents in the papers about the evils that might arise through having two polling .places in the Borough in the event of there being au election here. Now, sir, I think there is much cry and little wool about, these ebullitions of indignation, and I think the agitation was raised by interested parties. There is not that danger of fraud that people would have us believe, as if a man voted at two places lie would most certainly be discovered by tho Ueturnincr Officer before the official declaration of the poll; and not only would he be liable to tho penalties of the law, but neither of his votes would benefit the candidate be by fraudulent means had tried to assist. — Yours, «&c, ' I*ey.
