Judgment has just .been delivered by the runauga, and ie is to the effect: — "There must be no more shooting on penalty of being handed over to the Supreme Court." The present case is to be tried in the Supreme Court, that is the disputed claims of the JNgatihako and the Ngatikoe to the land. E. W. Puckey, Native Agent, has made a demand for the assassins to be delivered up, but the.runanga taj they had not the power to hand them over. Major Withers is down at the Maori camping ground, and nothing will be done until a telegram comes from the Native Minister, and the steamer Mem Sahib is hourly expected with the telegram. The steamer Te Arohs. is detained until evening, when something may turn up. The weather is glorions, and farming operations are going ahead with-all, except those poor out-farmers who/through fear, have come in to Paeroa with their [ families. :
