Three prominent members of the Christchurch Football Club were summoned this morning for creating a disturbance on the night of the Wellington football match. Gv Martin Cass had made sonio remarks in Council not calculated to create the best feeling between him and football players, and this method was taken of showing their disapproval of the latter. One was let off, and the others fined one pouud apiece, but thore was nearly fifty praent, and there was nothing to show that they were principals or only offenders.

Five youngsters were up at the Court to-day for burglary at the theatre. They were the culprits who were wanted for an extraordinary raid on a tobacco shop in Colombo street, and the Theatre .Royal. They were handed orer to their parents to bo dealt with.

The Wellington arrived from Wellington to-day, and left for Port Chalmers at 1.3p p.m., but ou reaching the Heads Had to put back, owing to her forward piston breaking.

Tho burglaries at the theatre and Jobacpoujst shop hare been traced to four

boys, ranging from nine to thirteen years. They were arrested yesterday. The Acclimatisation Society yesterday decided upon distributing -10,000 young iroiifc in various districts. Of that number 500 go to Timaru. At yesterday's Municipal election a number of female voters exercised their privilege for the first time at Christchurch.
