Mr Moorhouse was returned for Ashley. The numbers were —Moorhouse 337, Fendall272, Cunningham 60. The election was decided for Moorhouse by a special train from Chris tehurcb, which took up 70 voters, and Cunningham's candidature, of course, damaged the Liberal cause. The result was expected. DUNEDIN. Last night. Cltjtha.—Thomson received 272 rotes, aud Jowett 113. There was no excitement, as the result was expected.
