PORT CHALMERS.
Last night. Arrived: Rotorua from the Bluff. Strong south west gale is blowing. Tho repairs to the ship Benares are complete^. Sho will be surveyed to-day, and ufldocked at the end of tho week. The Christchurch portion of articles stolon from the tobacconist's shop and theatre was found yesterday secreted within the Cathedral walls. Telephonic communication is completed between the Fire Brigade Station, Lunatic Asylum, and Police Depot.
