The Colonist from Tonga reports :— The American man-of-war Tackawana and the German warship JBisinarek are lyingat Samoa. No open hostiliticsbetween the contending nature factions bare yet taken place, but all the needle guns and all other stores and small arms in the possession of foreign traders hare been bought up.

The first annual horse parade in connection with the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association took place at Ellerslie. The Auckland Stud Company was represented by the following horses:—Musket, Knottingley, Young Performer, Young Lochryam, St. Clair, Young Napoleon, Clyde, Campsie colt, Cceur-de-Lion, Prince Arthur, Young Wellington, Blair Athol, Lord Derby, and Borneo. Sunday night. Arrived: Kildonan from London, and Waitaki from South. Sailed: Tararua for South at 4 p.m. Passengers for Tauranga—Harris and son, aud 8 natives; for Napier—Mrs Bent, Miss Newman, Messrs Clarke and Mo3S ; for Wellington—Ansell, W. Graham, G. S. Graham, Woods, Johnson, and Berry, jun., and 1 Mr and Mrs Kattray, Miss McFarlane, and two natives.; for Lyttelton—Boyd and Ware ; for Dunedin —Pickett, and original passengers from Sydney.
