Thb Eev. B. Laishley will preach a funeral sermon on the late Mr William Mason at the Baptist Church at 6.30 tomorrow evening. Services in connection with the Wesleyan Church Home Mission fund will be held to-morrow at the .Grahamsto#n and Shortland Churches. At the R.M. Court today a man named Boss was fined os and costs for being the owner of a collarless dog; At the Civil Seision of the 3LM. Court yesterday, in a case brought by Messrs j F. Hewin and Bro. for the recovery of a small 'debt, and in which the firm was represented by the manager of the Grahamstown branch, the R.M. ruled that the latter could not appear as plaintiff* unless provided with a power of attorney. This is an alteration in the former procedure of the Court, and persons having occasion to bring a case into Court would do well to make a note of this. Mb Williams, the young man wounded by the Ngatihako, is improving, and but little fears are now entertained as to his ultimate recovering. The proclamation by the Governor, of the endowment of 2000 acres for the Borough of Thames, appears in a recent gazette. Copies of the song "My Own Newj Zealand Home " are how on sale.
