PjLBRoi, This day, 9.30 a.m.
The following message we received by our pigeons this morning, and it gives the latest news from the Komata meeting:— " The party of native chiefs, with Mr Wilkinson, Assistant .Native Land Ptrchase Agent, arrived from Pakara's settlement at 7.30 last night, having left
Pine alia behind with his hapu. The Ngatihako have agreed to Come to the meeting this morning, when the whole mat* ter is to be discussed. Pakara and Epiha repeated what they said on Sunday, that they would not give themselves up to the Europeans; but I have every confidence that the JKunanga of Uauraki will do their utmost to cauie them to be given up, well knowing the comequencea. There were fifteen men fully armed, and ready for any emergency, and. about twenty unarmed. These latter were from Waitakaruru, and only' arrived Tester^ 1 IS day.'
