INYERCARGILL.
Last night. At the declaration of the poll for Inverearc ill, Mr Bain was declared elected by a majo-ity of 10. The poll for Wallace took place to-day, but owing to the scattered district the returns will not be received before tomorrow evening. So far the returns are: —Hirst. 72; Joyce, 57; Cuthbertson, 16. Hirst's return is tolerably certain. He is opposed to Grey.
