The Native Outrage.
Previous to leaving Paeroa last evening Mr Sheehan had a very satisfactory interview with Tnkukino relative to the course to be pursued by the natives of this district in order to uphold their good name for loyalty, and to avert the consequences from the act of Pakara and hit people. Tukukino fully admitted the unfortanate position in which he and his people were placed, and expressed a willingness to do everything in his power to prevent further complications, and to secure the offenders for trial.
Messrs Pockey and Wilkinson were instructed fully as to the intention and views of the Native Minister, and will lay the Mine before the meeting which is being held to-day. Pineaha, a chief of the Ngatihako was present, and had an interview with Mr Sheehan, and expressed himself prepared to carry out the instructions of the native meeting at Komata. The excite* mint at Paerott it qoito over, the impression being that the natives will succeed in arresting the murderers. The Volunteers are being well-drilled by Sub-Inspector Kenny and Sergeants .Russell and Collins. As they are ander pay, they are being kept to their work, and are 'quickly get* ting a good insight into the preliminary drill.
