General Cl«rk joined Sir Garnet Wolseley at Ulitndi, the site of Cetewayo'g principal kraal, burned by General Lord Chelmsford on the 11th August. The Chiofc Submitting. The Zulu chiefs are coming in and submitting to the British Government. Cetawayo, however, vacillates as to whether to surrender or retire in sullen ' isolation to his mountain fastnesses, whither tha British forces will pursue him. The prospects of un early close of the war are cheering.
