> ■ ,■,:;« Saturday night. 1 Efforts are being made to amalgamate the Otago^ and ChristchuTch Railway Benefit Societies on a material basis, and delegate's from Otago will go to Christchurch on Tuesday with that object in view. T. C.Reid was again remanded to-day on three charges of embezzlement. A Dunedin Liberal Association was formed last night. A requisition-was presented to H. S. Fish to-day, asking; him to stand for Dunedin City. He promised to give a reply on Monday.
