Saturday night. The Eangitikei nomination is on August 28th, and the poll on September 3rd. Mr Ballance, held a meeting at Waitotara, when a rote of confidence was carried by thirty-;three to four. Sir Wm. Fox held a meeting at Waverley the day after Ballance's, when the chairman refused to allow any amend* ment to be moved on the vote of confidence which was proposed and declared carried without counting the hands. Mr McLean received a vote of confidence at Bulls, and Mills one at Marton.
