We hare only driven on the footwall one yet, and it is satisfactory to gay the stone contains blotches of gold and a few picked stone are occasionally broken. In tunnel level on same reef, the footwall leader reported in my last has produced sixty pounds of picked stone during the week. A small slide has been intersected, cutting through which the: leader •gain shews gold freely. There is no change to mention in drive and stopes bfi Jill Nations reef. The general crushing is shewing up well, and I am expectinij a payable return. Tunnel crosscut south has been extended eleven feet. , Owing to the ground being hard slow progress is made.
