Last night.
Ballance addressed the electors at Waverley on Thursday.' There was a crowded attendance. This was, supposed by" Fox to b^ this stronghold, and his supporters mustered in full strength, and put their own chairman up. Mr Ballance spoke for two hoars. A vote of (confidence was moved, and an amendment of nO'Confidence proposed. On the vote being taken, 33 went for the amendment and 46 against. On electors only voting the original motion, was then carried amidst enthusiastic cheers.
