The writs haVe not yet arrived, therefore the Eeturning OflScer has not yet been able to publish the election nbtice, it is expected they .will arrive- by the overland mail to-morrow night. .
Mr Clary addressed the electors tonight. Captain Ske'et will do so on Satur-, day, Mr Fopkes 6u Moncjay,: and Colonel Trimble on Tuesday. Majpr Atkinson has arrived in town from Patea.
It is stated that Sherwood is endeavoring to get the principal polling places altered from this end of the district to the other, as the electors are more numerous at' this■•end than at Patea. The: alteration , is not approved of
