Last night. At a meeting of the Town Hall Designs sub-Committee yesterday, the quantitative surveyor's report was read, stating that ' Hone of the six designs selected came within the sum fixed as their limit by the conditions, and the subcommittee decided riot to recommend any of the designs to the general Committeo for the premium. ;

It was reported to the police last evening that an elderly man named Geo. Yennell, residing near the Avon at New Brighton, has'been missing from his home for a week. Vennell, who has been addicted to drink until recently, was living separated from his wife, and on two occasions he had fallen into the river, and had been rescued by his neighbors each time. Ab he was daily in the habit of drawing water from the river it is feared that an accident has befallen him.
