But during tlio four week* treatment of Dr Bojd, the leg wits growing worse and the child sinking. I had heard in the meantime of the Eucalypti Extract working some wonderful puree, and at the end of the period mentioned I obtained a bottle of the extract, and first üßed it on Monday, the 10th December. The doctor's visits then ceased, the child being in a very low condition, and I gave my little girl three drops each night and morning, and also applied it to the part affected, for two weeks, at the .end of which time I wns exceedingly pleased to find she had so much improved as to be able to run about. I regard the cure effected by the extract as simply mar?ellous, and I have betn recommending the latter to my friends who are suffering." From the Bendigo Evening News. Sir, —Having suffered from a bad wound in the leg for a long time, I tried several remedies, none of which had the desired effect; and, as a forlorn hope, tried a bottle of the " JEuof lypti,"; and. Ij am happy to have tbe opportunity of bearing record to its efficacy.;, although having used but one small bottle, the wound is now healed. You are at liberty to give publicity to the above, as I believe the kuowledge of this fine medicine cannot be too well known.—William Harris, Wallsend.' From the CooJetown Courier. February 23rd, 1878. We hare received the following testimony in favor of the'new curative agent from our correspondent at Port Douglas:—•' The Eucalypti preparation is being experimented with here, and the few bottles that have been disposed of, prove all that has been written with regard to the efficacy of this discovery. A person whilst performing his daily duties in one of our stores, happened to tread on a rusty nail, which so inconvenienced bim for some days, that he could neither put his foot to the ground or wear a boot—the part being so painful. He was pursuaded to try this new preparation, and upon applying the liquid twice, immense relief. was soon experienced; and the person referred to is now able to walk about as if nothing had happened to him. t This came within my own observation, therefore I can vouch for the truth of this assertion." , Cast of Swelling. I ;•. In Novembsr, 1877, the wife of Mr Fickel Ironbark suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling, which had formed a lump of considerable eize, disabling her from attending to any work; She removed the ewelling completely by a continued application of the ex* tract. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE. It has now become the fashion with the inventors or discoverers of remedial agents to claim something little short of infallibility' and universality of cure for their respective agents. Messrs Sander and Sens do nothing of the sort. They have confidence that their oil possesses many virtues; but the full extent of these they do not know yet. They are now collecting data, and they are most careful and searching in performing this. It is quite sure then, that their eucalypti oil can fairly assert itself to be a grand panacea for many of the ills that flesh is heir to. ■•* - ' :- - ■ In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any caxe of Fever, nothing will protect' better against contagion than a few drops of the oil poured in the palm of the hand, and rubbed in, in order to liberate the vapors, or sprinkled over the clothes. The perfume will be noticed for »: great length of time. For Children Attending Befools, th« same mode may be adopted. ■■ -'; '■ '■/!■: ■ : In Catet of Sickness, a few drops put into a saucer, and put into the room will, being an etheric: oil, and ; fill the room with the purifying vapor. /. Are you obliged to Travel! A few drops occasionally rubbed on the body, will protect against any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming in direct contact witb\ sick persons, or in sleeping in tfee- same room with, or in beds occupied previously by sick persons. All Hotelieepers will do well to sprinkle from time to time in drawers, where linen is usually kept, a few drops of the pure essential oil. It produces no spots whatever, as every particle of it evaporates, and nothing, remains. 4' f'f 'f |';t 44 f'f '■■'': f'/'f ? In short, toher&aftinnfeetant is needed, the pure essential ecualypti oil ought, to be the one you have recourse to, and no family ought to bo without it. For all Wound*, Cuts, Burnt, Scalding*, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds, a piece of linen wrapped round the suffering paift,"|nd, i moistened with a few drops of the eucalypti essence, will stop all pain, and effect a speedy cure. In cases where si piece of linen cannot be applied, the moistening of the suffering part with the pure oil will do as well. ■ In Case of Colds moisten the nostrils with a few drops and inhale the vapour, and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance of the heat. In all cases where the Lungs may he Affected, the abfve-mentioned /process, continually repeated, will be the best that can be advised. : • . In cases of Rheumatism, a mixture of one part of the pure essential eucalypti oil with three parts oC spirits of wine, well rubbed in the suffering part, has acted better than any other remedy. In all cases of Inflammation, the oil may be applied to the part affected. In severe cases of Toothache of rheumatic origin, the pure essence may be applied on the external part of the face. In cases of Inflammation of the -Etyw, apply ' the pure oil to the outside of the eyelids. Headache and Rheumatic Pdins'in the Head are positively removed and cured by rubbing the oil on the affeoted parts. ; ' Fot many Cases of Severe Bruises the oil has proved the best remedy. ? # Inwardly used, take three or four drops in half a tumbler of water. The essence effects a most surprising change of the whole constitution, correcting indigestion, and creating a healthy appetite.
