At Kaiapoi Drs Ellis and Patrick have resigned from the: hospital medical staff.

A largely attended meeting of the Canterbury Reform Association was held last evening. It was resolved to adopt as the principles of the Association, the liberal policy placed before the country by the present Government, and that the aim of the association should be to return members to Parliament to support that policy. It was agreed no member who voted against Government should be recognised or have the support of the Association.
