INQUEST.

I went to work at 8 o'clock, and on re-, turning at 12 she was not in the house,, and everything was as I had left it. I shouted bul got no reply. I went to the closet arid there found her lying dead and quite cold. Deceased had been in bad health for the, past two years, but no medical man treated her till within the last month, when she was attended by Dr Andrews. She complained of shortness of breath, and a feeling of heat at the* heart. She was always able to go about the house. ' j . '■j John Johnson pave evidence concerning thefinding of- the body. Deceased and her husband always lived on good terms with each other. " „ Dr Andrews deposed that he had attended the deceased from July 10th to ,the 17th. She was suffering from chronic. | bronchitis and weak heart action. He,last saw her alive on the 2nd August, and on 1 examining her, found the lungs much improved, but no change in the action of | the heart. From the condition of her I heart her life was precarious. ; Dr Gilbert deposed to making a postmortem examination of the body of deceased. Found fatty degeneration of the heart, and extensive disease of the kidney and the lungs. Death resulted from disease of the heart.
