MOANATAIRI.

The report of the manager for the past week is as follows: *—150 level: In driving west the All Nations leader is a complete lode, 1 foot thick ; 30 feet more driving will communicate with the wiOse sank from the level above. Intermediate level (between the tunnel and 80 feet): Driving west on the hanging wallbranoh of No. 3 ir#*f has .been aatf^nded, it being too •mail. We nave now started driving on footwall branch which will, I think, be the most productive part. In driving at Tunnel level this reef is split up into stringers and leaders, which often show colours of gold. The stopes throughout the. mine do not show any change; but less picked atone has been produced during the past fortnight. Point Russell section:' The quartz obtained from here this' week has been bt low graded and in consequence of this and of the scarcity of picked stdne, our return has fallen off. The -south cross-cut tunnel level has been extended 21: feet this week; quartz stringers are occasionally met with, letting out water ( freely, otherwise there is no change !o notice. A cross-cut will shortly be started from the tunnel on the east side of main slide to intersect various reefs;' aod also communicate with tTie Waitemata shaft. It is well known that the upper portion of this mfQe was highly productive. There being 153 feet from the bottom of the shaft to the tunnel

ground ,'as above will give a haudsome profit. Our fortnightly return is 1920zs fr0m.283 tons crushed.—B. Comkb.
