But during the four weeks treatment of Dr Boyd, the lep was growing worse and I the child sinking. I had heard in the meantime of the Eucalypti Extract working some wonderful cures, and at the end of the period mentioned I obtained a bottle of the extract, and first used it. on Monday, the 10th December. The doctor's .. visits then .ceased, the child* being in a very low condition; arid I gave my Jitt.le girl three drops each night and morning, and also applied ifci.to ;the part' affected, for two weeks, at the end of winch tim« ,1 was exceedingly pleased to-find.sho, had 'bo) much improved Ind to be able;to run : about. Sir,—Having suffered froni a,bad woijtnd in the leg for a long time, I tried several remedies, none of.,wliic,h ,had tho .desired effect; and, as a forlorn liope^ tried a bottle' of the " Eucalypti," and I am happy to have t,'ue opportuaity of bearing record to its efficacy ; although having used but one small bottle, ' the wound is now healed. You are at liberty to give publicity to the above, as I believe tho knowledgcof this fine medicinecannot be tdo ' well known.—^illiam, Hurris, Wallsend. \ .... From-ilie CooJctown Courier. ' February 23rd, 1878. We have received the following testimony; in favor of the new curative agent from our icorrtsporiden!T afc-j jPor^-j, Dpu^laß f—tj The Eucalypti ''preparation is" being experiment ed with here, and the few bottleß that have been disposed of, prove all that has been written with regard to the-efficacy of this discovery. A person whilst performing his daily duties in one of our stores, happened to tread on a' rust.y nnil, which so-inconvenienced him for' some days, that he could neither put his foot to the ground or wear a boot—the part being so paiinfuli He was/puMu&ded/td' try this new preparation, and upon applying tho liquid twice, immense relief was soon experienced, and the person referred to is now able to walk about as if nothing had happened to him. This came within my own observation, therefore I can vouch for the truth of this, assertion.'! < ■;■ ? > e ;:J- \yiiCase'of »Sioelkrigi^ *'*'■■ " In November, 1877, the wife of Mr Fickel Ironbark suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling, which'hud formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued of the ex* tract. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE. It has now become the fashion with the inventors or discpverers.of, remedial agents to claim^ something, little short of 'infallibility and universality of «ure for*'their respective agents. Messrs Sander and Sens do nothing of the sort. They have confidence that their oil possesses muny virtues; but the full extent of these they do not know yet. They are now collecting data, and they are most careful and searching id performing this. It is quite sure'• then, that 1 their eucalypti oil can fairly assert itself to be a grand panacea for many of the ills that flesh is heir to. In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any cane of Fever, nothing will protect better against contagion than a few drops of the oil poured in the palm of the hand, and rubbed in, in ordcu* to liberate 'the vapors, or sprinkled over the clothes. The perfume will be noticed for a great length of time. For Children Attending Schools, the same mode may be adopted. In Case* of Stckness, a few drops put into a saucer, end put into the room will, being an ethenc oil, evaporate, and fill the room with the purifying vapor. ' Are you obliged to Travel! A few drons occasionally rubbed on the body, will protect against any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming in direct contact with sick persons, or in sleeping in the same room with, or m beds occupied previously by eick persons. All l^otelkeepers will do well to sprinkle from time to time in drawers, where linen ib usually kept, a few drops of,the pure essential oil. It produces no spots whatever, as every particle pf it evaporates, and nothing remains. > In short, where a disinfectant is needed, (,he pure essential ecualypti oil ought to be the one you have recourse to, and uo family ought to be without it. ( For all Wounds, Cuts, Burns, t Scoldings, Ulcers, and Cancerous Wounds^ a pjieeeoorf r linen wrapped round the Buffering, purt, and moistened with a few drops of the eucalypti essence, will stop all pain, and effect a Bpeedy cure. In cases where a piece of linen cannott bo applied, the moistening of the suffering( purt with the pure o 1 will do as well. In Case of Colds moisten the nostrils with! a few drops and inhale tho vapour, and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance of the heat. ' In all cases wher6 the Lungs may be Affected, the above-mentioned process, con*.' tinually repeated, will bo the boat that can be advised. . ■ In cases of Rheumatism, a mixture of one parb oi the pure essential eucalypti oil with three parts of spirits oi wine, well rubbed in the suffering part, has acted better than any other remedy. , In all cases of Inflammation, the ail may be applied to the. part affected. In severe cases of Toothache of rheumatic origin, the pure -essence may be applied on the external part of the face. 'In cases of Inflammation bf t7te Eyes, apply the pure oil to the outside of the eyelids. Headache wd #hminatto JPqini'in the Head are positively removed and cured by rubbing the oil on the affected parts. For many Cases of Severe Bruises the oil bas proved the best remedy. " Inwardly used, take three or four drops in half a tumbler of water.
