They say the party numbers 42 or 44, and several accessions are likely to occur .in the next few days. , , . ' , The Opposition consider Seymour safe for the chairmanship of committeesBunny has definitely retired from the contest. It is understood that Government will propose a Six Million Loan shortly. It is considered amongst Government supporters that Bryce is almost certain to be elected Chairman of Committees. Barton will resign at the end of the Session and go to America, where he intends to reside permanently. The, Government supporters admit that the parties in the House are as near equally divided as possible.
