New Dramatic Season.
We are pleased to draw the attention of our readers to the advertisement in another column announcing the fact that the Chaplin-Osborne Dramatic Company will appear on the Thames boards next week. Mr G. D. Chaplin was here some time ago, and his Shakespearian representations were most favorably received by the Thames public.
Uoth as a tragedian and comedian he is immeasurably better than many descipies of the sock and buskin who have been " starring " in New Zealand 'lately. Qf Miss iioso Oiborne an exchange says: " She seems to ba gifted by nature with many of those attributes which are almost certain to ensure success on any stage, namely, a graceful deportment, «legant figure, and very expressire features. Added to this she displays a good voice, which she can use to the best advantage." Amfngst the galaxy of talent that compose the nebulae of this dramatic constellation, we notice "*the names of Mr and Mrs McGowan* (old ' Auckland), Mr Bland Holt, Mr Burford, and Miss Lena* Edwin, concerning all of whom the Auckland papers speak in 'terms of the highest praise.
