; ■■■■'.■:■■''■ Orme's Cass, . ■ Daniel Orme was charged at the Supreme Court this morning with perjury

by accusing William Fraser of killing %yrpiga \ (sic). Mr Hcsketh, for the defence, made several objections to the form of the indictment, of which the Judge took note. The case is now proceeding. Later. At the Supreme Court, in the charge of perjury against Orme arising out of the case, Mason v. Orme, heard before Col. Fraser, at Grahamstown, evidence was given that Orme swore he purchased the pigs from Holt, and that they were brought to him dead. Francis Holt, of Tapu Creek, swore he did not. sell the defendant any pigs nor send any carcasses to him on the fourth. He saw Orme on the 20th April when he said he had got into trouble with Mason, and wished witness to give him a little document to help him 'out of it. He wrote a receipt at Orme's request, but the receipt was false. He was under pecuniary obligations to Orme. John Head, butcher,. Grahamstown, deposed he was in Orme's employ.
