Wo are pleased to learn that tlio Knglisli Coiaie Opera Company wliicli has, for the^past few weeks, been delighting Auckland audiences with its representations of the new operas "The Sorcerer " and " 11.M.5. Pinafore," will open here on Monday, or Tuesday next. Tho company includes Miss Leaf, whose vocal abilities are so well known that no comment is required, Miss Bella Hunter, Miss Teas us, Mr Hodson, who won golden opinions while here with the last opera company, and Messrs Craiu, Harding and iiiccardi, whose siuging is
favorably commented on by the Auckland pruss. Eoth the principal operas ia tho repertoire of tho company are composed and wiilleu by Messrs Sullivan and Gilbeet, and are Sfidfto be lyric masterpieces. The orchestra and chorus arc most efficient, and we hear tl>at the company will bring down some scenery with them.
