The Gleuelg, which arrived from Tauranga this morning, reports that during the recent gale the contractors for raising. the Taupo, lowered her to the bottom to prevent the blocks bumping holes in the bottom. Another effort to raise her was msde yesterday, when she was lifted twenty-four inches. A final attempt is to be made to-day, when the contractors expect to get her up. They will then get canvas on when she floats and pump her out.
