officers of ihe Legislatire Council be permitted by the Speaker to giVe evidenoe and produce documents in Court. All the documents connected with the case are to be placed in the possession pf> the 8.M., and Mr Bees will present "4 .petitioii to 'both Houses of Parliament, asking that the documents may be handed into Parliament at the Bar of the Houses. 5 s As to the point that appendices are part of the journals of the House, the Court having ruled they were riot, Mr. Bees said the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Mr O'Rorke,. the Attorney-General and Solicitor-General were all of the opinion that the appendices were part of the journals.

Legislative Council nays it will pass that chamber immediately.
