This day. The Governor's Movements. The Gorernor is expected to visit Grahamstown in a few days: He was to go sbooting to-day, but as the.rain fell heavily this morning, and continues at intervals, the enjoyment will probably be spoilt. At the Police Court to-day, John Henry Hunter was charged with turning his wife and infant child out of the house, and threatening to take her life, compelling her to seek protection at the Police Station all night. The defendant stated complainant chopped his favorite poodle into three pieces; Defendant was bound over to keep the peace. The polling on the question of csfablishing a free public library is .proceeding to-day. At the R.M. Court to-day, in a claim for calls by the Eureka and Clunes Company, Mr Hesketh, for defendant, objected to the summons, on the ground • that the office of the company was not stated, and that tho company must sue by tbeir attorney in their corporate name. The Bench held the objection fatal, and ; nonsuited the plaintiff.
