So far "'as "the committing" "of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned the'consequences would - nofc be serious; but as the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly opposed to one another, wo consider it our duty to direct the attention I of tho public to the following facts :— The eucalyptus bil'is'^recorded to be of value as v medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing, blistering, effect upon the skin.' -.':'. } i \ '> Any blistering brought on by.*tho application of a medicament must' increase ißflammation,; and it is! therefore" evident that in ,cases of wojinds, coldsj.bronchitisjdiphtheria, croup, sprains, Ac., the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper.; An application of the oil instead of our extract must impair tbe disease. , The truth of our assertion is founded upon the fact th'tit'the/6ii is a Resinous,product, equivalent to common turpentine, its market yalue being; about three! shillings one pound weight j our extracts consists of the evaporating particles of tbe.gum leaves, soothing and 'healing in its effectsi its 1 price beiDgJtwcntyfour shillings for one pound weight!
