Mr Frater moved, and Mr Brassey seconded, that a portion of tho Committee's credit be placed as a fixed deposit in tho Bank, the amount and the length of time to be left to tho President and Treasurer. Mr McGowan gpoko against the motion. Mr Brassey seconded the motion, which was then put and carried. APOLOGIES. •Apologies for absence were receired" from Messrs Mennie and Mcllhone. It was finally decided that each committeeman should only one vote. Applications for the office, of House Surgeon were then opened from Drs Andrews, Payne, Kilgour, Gilbert, andTrimnel (Kiwa Xawa).
