The notes issued far exceeded .the amount sot down in last sworn return, and doubtful debts were made appear much less than they were. It appears that £24,000 has been advanced to Joseph Aarons on security of as many hundreds, and £24,030 advanced to one firm of railway contractors on a security of £13,000.
