Thomas Gnrrett was charged with neglecting to hare.a light burning orer the principal door of the Exchange Hotel on the erening of the 26th iust. . Defendant pleaded guilty. Mr. Kenny asked the Bench to be as lenient as possible with the defendant as bis hotel was-one of the beat conducted in the place. He had reason to beliere that the gas meter was out of order. jHis Worship said under the circumstances he would let, defendant go. :
BBEAOH OP lICENSIKG ACT. James McCannon was charged with illegally supplying liquor after the legal hour tor closing his hotel on the 26th inst. Mr Miller appeared for the defendant, end pleaded guilty. He said in extenuation that McCannon had been absent from the house when the liquor was sold. Fined 40s and costs. Court adjourned;
