UNSOLICITED TESTIMONIAL; Extraordinary/ ] Cure of ■ an Auckland Omnibus Driver, 21 years Resident, of i Long-standing Rheumatism. ■ Auckland, August 20,1878. ' Dear Sir, —I had suffered severely and most acutely from Rheumatism for many, years, brought on, I believe, from exposure to all weathers -in the exercise of my calling. For years 1 could not sleep at night, and was unable to lie except in one position. Day and night I was full of excruciating pains, scarcely able to move about at all, and as' anatural sequence my general health was also materially injured. I believe I suffered the pangs of Rheumatism and its attendant evils mi every shape .and form, and my life was a burden to me. I tried every remedy -I could hear of, but without obtaining any relief whatever. The sum I spent in medicine and medical advice was very considerable, but of no, avail, until 1 invested in a bottle'of your Blood Restorer. I may Bay that I was not hopeful at all whenI purchased your medicine j' I had tried so .many specifics without receivingthe slightest' benefit, but having determined to give it a fair trial I carried out my intention. I adhered strictly to the directions, and the result is that I am changed from a mere wreck to my former self again—restored to health and vigor, and able to drive daily through all weathers, and at all hours, if occasion re« quires. lam sure you have never had a worse case to deal with than mine, and although even now, in bad weather, I feel my limbs rather stiff', after sitting on the box for a long time, 1 am. a living example of the almost miraculous curative properties (under Providence) ; of your now /celebrated Blood Restorer. My friends tell me it is a duty I owe to my fellow creatures to send you this acknowledgement, and if it is the means of persuading other sufferers to go and do likewise, I shall feel that this, letter is not written in vain.' 1 have the more pleasure' f in giving this testimonial as it is quite unsolicited on your part. You are at liberty, of course, to make any use of this. —I am, sir, yours gratefully, Henbx MaiDjJN. , IToH. E. Hitchensi Esqi, Auckland. ■ ; Agent for the Thames— , >. UNDER the distinguished patronage of His Majesty the King of Italy, at Romei according^to communication received'frbm the' Consul-General for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions [from the Minister for ForeignAffairs, dated 14th March, 1878. ,; : I -We are informed that dealers..in medicine ©ften, try to sell the eucalyptus>oil-found in the trade instead of our Eucalyptus Extract. So far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned the consequences would not be serious; but as the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly, opposed to one another; we consider it our duty to direct the attention of the public to jbhe following tacts :-r-" ". The eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of value as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, and. manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the skin. Any blistering brought on by the application of a medicament must increase iafiammation, and it*is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprains, &c, the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application of the oil instead of our extract must impair the disease,! The truth of our assertion is founded upon the fact that the oil is r.a resinous product, equivalent to common turpentine, its market valuebeing'about three shillings bue pound weight; our extraots consists of the evaporating particles of the gum leaves, soothing and healing in its effects, its price being twentyfour shillings for one pound weight. Our extract, the genuine article, is only made up in one half ounce and one ounce; vials; viale bearing,' on the labels our trade mark and signature. |^°No other essence is genuine except thut in the vials bearing oh the labels our signature and trade mark.
