CHRISTCHURCH.
Monday. The adjourned meeting of the unemployed this evening passed resolutions to be forwarded to the Minister of Public Works asking that certain authorised public works might be proceeded with. The Mayor promised to endeavour to find, employment for some of the men. It was also resolved to requisition the Mayor to call a meeting of unemployed. It is probable: the Queen'g Birthday will be celebrated on Monday as Saturday is market day.
