Medical NOTICE. PUKE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTEACT. UNDER the distinguished patronage of His Majeßty the King of Italy, at Borne, according to communication received from the Consul-G-eneral for Itp,ly, at Melbourne, upon instructions |;from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878.
We are informed that dealers in medicine often; try to tell the eucalyptus oil found in tha, trade instead Of our Eucalyptus Extract. So far as the committing of imposition against the public, in. such a case is concerned the consequences 1 would not be serious; but as the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly' Opposed to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the attention of the public to the following facts:— The eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of value as ■* medicament iri:cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the skin. i . ' Any blistering brought on by the application of a medicament must increase inflammation, and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprains, &c, the curative power of bur extract on the named diseases being unquestiocably proved by former, publications in. tbitfpaper. An application of the bil instead 1 of bur extract must impair the disease. The truth of bur assertion is founded upon the fact .that the oil is a resinous product^ equivalent to common turpentine, its market value being about three shilling! one pound weight; our extraots consists of the evaporating particles of the gum leaves, soothing and lUaling in its effects, 'its price being twenty* four ,«hilli6gs for one pound weight. Our extract, the genuine article, is only made up in one half ounce and one ounce-vials; vials bearing on the labels our trade mark and 1:- '/' j;..,;.'. ,'. ;;' :': : : ?J9^9ji<Mft?r essence is genuine except thttt in the vials bearing on the labels our , . signature and trade mark. : w is\jffims& 'the^mftnu^cipry^^iL^DEß! ulUfi'feONS, fcridgefrtreet, Sandhurst, Vie--KafcfttO W\).X rii-: •■'/- •-;;'■ :.1,.1, . ■• i UlAm Tikis only at Is 6d acd 2» 6d each. UNSOLICITED TESTIMdNIiIi.Extraordinary .. r ,(^rc .of, an Auckland Omnibus Driver, 21 years Resident, of Long-standing Rheumatism. ;i; T >■ iAubiiAMiy, August 20! 1878. Dear Sir, —I had suffered severely and most acutely frbtn! Rheuoi&tißiß for many; years, brought on, I believe, from exposure to alb weathers in [tile exerciee of nij filing. For yea A 1 could'not sleep nt night, and was unable to He except in one position. Day and night I was full of excruciating pains, scarcely^ able to move about at, all, and as a natural^eeqtebcW my general h'efclth was aleo materially ifejured. I believe I suffered the pangt 6f': •heurantism and its' attendant evils in every shape and form, and my life was a burden to me. I tried every,, remedy I could bear;.of, -bnt.< without obtaitlibgiiny relief whatever! The sum I spent in medicine and medical advice was very considerably, but of no avail, until 1 invested in a bottle of your Blood Restorer. I may say that I was not hopeful at all when I-purchased your medicine;" I had tried so many specifics without receiving the slightest benefit, but r having determined -to gj-e .if a fair atibl iay idtehtiori.' -t idhered strictly to the directions, and the result is that I am cha'age^' 'fronr a mere wreck to my former self again—restored to hea|th : and vigorjiand aßle-to drive daily through all weathers, and at all'hours) if occasion re» quires; I am sure you have never bad a worse case to deal with 'than mine,' and' although even dow, in bad - weather^'l feelmj limbs rather stiff, after sitting on 1 theboxfor 1 ao lobgr time,' 1! am a 1 living example "pf the almost miraculous curative jaroperfciee (under Providence) of your now' Celebrated* Blood Restorer. My friends tell me, it is.a duty I owe to my fellow creatures to send you this ncknowledgement, and if it is the meaue of persuading other sufferers to go and do likewise, I shall feel that this letter is not written in vain. I have the more pleasure in giving this testimonial as it is quite unsolicited on your parti < You are. at .liberty, of course, to make any use:.of..this.—l am, sir,' yours gratefully, HbNBY Maid^K.
